My Best Stitchfix Yet!

Stitchfix Review

I was weary of the Stitchfix deal for a while. I thought, “There’s no way anyone else can shop for me… I can barely shop for myself! Let alone someone who hasn’t ever met me.” But, eventually I read enough blogs about it to take the plunge.

I decided to try Stitchfix for a few reasons:

1.  I hate shopping, so I don’t buy myself new clothes all that often.
Since someone else is picking out clothes for me to try on, this is a great way to get out of my clothing comfort zone and try new things!

2.  I also hate shopping because I don’t have time to shop. Really it boils down to the fact that I’d rather not spend my free time shopping – I would rather hang out with people, work on my blog, run, etc. This provides a means for me to find new clothes that I love without the time it takes to drive around town and hit up three stores.

3.  It is a fun way to “treat” myself with something I’d normally never do – like I said, it took me a while to take the plunge. I finally decided that I’m tired of just buying things that are on clearance for the sake of being on clearance. I want to spend my money on clothes that will last, and clothes that I love enough to spend on quality. Not to mention, it is just plain fun to get a box of mystery clothes to my door once a month! 😉

For those of you who have no idea what Stitchfix is,
here’s how it works:

Stitchfix
is a personal styling company that sends you items to your door to try on in your home. You have 3 days to try on the items, and you ship back whatever you don’t want in their pre-paid shipping bag they send with the clothes.

+ You start by signing up here and filling out a style profile, as well as questions about your body shape. You can also link up your clothing Pinterest board for your stylist to peruse when picking out clothes for you.

+ Each “fix” costs costs $20 (what they call a “styling fee”), which is applied to any items you keep from your fix. If you don’t keep anything, you are still charged the $20.

+ You have 3 days to try on your clothes, and whatever you keep will be charged to your credit card or bank account! If you keep all 5 items, you also get a 25% discount off of everything.

+ The best part is that you can get referral credit! For anyone you refer who gets their first fix, you receive $25 in credit to use toward your next purchase! So great! So… if you decide to try it out, I’d love for you to use my referral link! You can do so by clicking here or the Stitchfix image on my right sidebar.

Now, let’s get to the fun part! Here’s what I got:

McQue Solid Lace Sleeve Blouse - Stitchfix Review
Item #1: McQue Solid Lace Sleeve Blouse

First impression: I absolutely love the style and the daintiness of this top! It can be so easily dressed up or down, and navy is one of my favorite staple colors! Love it. But, I worry about the sleeves – I don’t think they will hold up well in the wash and this is a hand wash item. I typically try to stray from super-specialty wash items because, well, I’m lazy.

Item #2: Hanneli Polka Dot Swing Skirt

First impression: Obsessed!! I absolutely adore the style and comfort of this skirt. It hits right above my knees, even though it’s pretty high waisted, and is the kind you could twirl in for days. So. Fun. I’m very tempted by this one!

Elissa French Terry Moto Jacket - Stitchfix Review

Item #3: Elissa French Terry Moto Jacket

First impression: When I pulled this out of the box, I thought it was absolutely adorable! I had high hopes for this!! Sadly, it is slightly too big in the arms and body, so I think I’ve swayed to sending it back now. But, it’s absolutely adorable.

Jordanne A-line Skirt - Stitchfix Review

Item #4: Jordanne A-line Skirt

First impression: I’m telling you, I loved this entire box!! I love the color of this one and the shape, but it was too small :(.

Mulliken Raglan Striped Knit Shirt - Stitchfix Review

Item #5: Mulliken Raglan Striped Knit Shirt

First impression: This must be one of the softest shirts I have ever felt. I love the pattern and fun stripes! This one I will definitely be keeping – I’m obsessed with it!

What are your thoughts?! What should I keep, what should I send back??
